National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the JEE Main Session 2 Result 2026. Candidates can download their scorecard and check the JEE Advanced cutoff at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
National Testing Agency (NTA) is an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization established under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to conduct efficient, transparent, and international standard tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions. NTA JEE Main Session 2 2026 – Overview
NTA JEE Main Session 2 Result 2026 has been officially declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the Joint Entrance Examination Main Admissions Test (April 2026 cycle). The online application process was open from 01 February 2026 to 25 February 2026 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The minimum qualification required is passing or appearing in the Class 12 (Intermediate) examination with a PCM stream. The application fee was ₹1000 for General Male candidates and ₹800 for Female candidates (Paper 1). A total of 15,38,474 unique candidates appeared across both sessions, and 26 candidates have secured a perfect 100 percentile in Session 2.
This year witnessed the highest number of candidates appearing for JEE Mains. A total of 16,04,854 unique candidates registered for the exam across both sessions in 2026, marking a significant increase and reflecting the intense competition for premier engineering institutes.

JEE Main 2026 Cutoff for JEE Advanced
The NTA has released the category-wise cut-off percentiles required to qualify for the JEE Advanced 2026 examination. A total of 2,50,182 students have qualified for IIT JEE this year. The General category cutoff has seen its highest qualifying percentile in four years.

NTA JEE Main Session 2 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit for JEE Main Session 2 2026
There is no age limit for the candidates appearing in the JEE (Main) 2026. However, the candidates may be required to fulfill the age criteria of the Institute(s) to which they are desirous of taking admission.
Educational Qualification
- BE / B.Tech / B.Arch: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination in 2024, 2025, or appearing in 2026 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) stream from any recognized Board in India.
- Note for NIT/IIIT Admission: Scoring a high percentile is not enough; candidates must secure a strict minimum of 75 percent aggregate marks in their Class 12 board exams to officially fulfill the JoSAA seat allocation criteria.
NTA JEE Main Session 2 Result 2026 – How to Check Scorecard
The National Testing Agency has officially declared the result. Currently, two links are hosted on the website due to heavy traffic. Follow these steps to check your scores and download the final scorecard:
- Visit Official Portal: Go to the official NTA JEE Main portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in or the alternative link cnr.nic.in/ResultDir.
- Find the Result Link: Click on either "JEE Main 2026 session 2 result link 1" or "link 2 (Alternate)".
- Enter Login Credentials: Input your Application Number and Password/Date of Birth.
- Submit Details: Enter the displayed security pin and click 'Login'.
- View Scorecard: Your NTA JEE Main Session 2 Result 2026 will appear on the screen displaying your NTA scores, All India Rank (CRL), category rank, and the qualifying cutoff for JEE Advanced.
- Download and Print: Save the scorecard as a PDF and take multiple printouts. It is a critical document required during the comprehensive JoSAA counselling process.

What's Next? JoSAA Counselling and JEE Advanced
Following the declaration of the Session 2 results, NTA has published the final All India Ranks (AIR) based on the "best of two" sessions rule.
1. JEE Advanced: The top 2,50,182 candidates meeting the cut-off must register for JEE Advanced 2026 at jeeadv.ac.in starting April 23 for admission into the 23 IITs.
2. JoSAA Counselling: Other qualified candidates can participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling, scheduled to begin on June 2, for admissions into 31 NITs, 25 IIITs, and other GFTIs based on their JEE Main rank. State-level counselling (like UP, Haryana, Delhi) also accepts these scores.
