Educational Qualification
- Data Entry Operator (DEO): Intermediate (10+2) pass from a recognized board. Typing speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour on computer. A computer qualification from AICTE/DOEACC/NIELIT ('O' Level) or ADCA is mandatory.
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC): Intermediate (10+2) pass from a recognized board. Typing speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi and English. 'O' Level computer certificate or equivalent.
- Personal Assistant (PA) & Stenographer: Bachelor's Degree with Hindi shorthand competency (100 wpm for PA, 80 wpm for Steno) and typing speed of 30 wpm in both Hindi and English.

Bihar Vidhan Parishad DEO & LDC 2026 – Exam Syllabus & Paper Pattern
The Preliminary Exam consists of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions. The paper will evaluate candidates on General Studies, General Science & Mathematics, and Mental Ability & Logical Reasoning. For every correct answer, 4 marks are awarded, and 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect response. Following the prelims, candidates will face a strict Computer Typing and MS Office Word Processing test.
