SSC GD Constable 2026 – Overview
SSC GD Constable 2026 syllabus and exam pattern have been released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for 25,487 vacancies in CAPFs, SSF, and Assam Rifles. The recruitment consists of a Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), and Medical Examination. The minimum qualification for this national-level exam is Class 10th (Matriculation) pass from any recognized board. The CBE exam, originally scheduled to start on 23 February 2026, has been postponed until further notice.
In the SSC GD 2024 cycle, 26,146 vacancies were announced — the 2026 drive for 25,487 posts marks a slight 2.5% decrease in total vacancies.

The Computer Based Examination (CBE) for SSC GD 2026 consists of one objective-type paper containing 80 questions, carrying 2 marks each.

This component includes questions on both verbal and non-verbal types. It tests the candidate's analytical aptitude and ability to observe patterns.

- Economic Scene: Basic Economics, Five-Year Plans.

3. Elementary Mathematics
This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems and Computation.

SSC GD Constable 2026 – Physical Standard Test (Height, Chest & Weight)
The Physical Standard Test (PST) for SSC GD 2026 measures height, chest measurement, and weight. Candidates who fail to meet the minimum physical standards are disqualified at this stage regardless of written exam score.
